The Agoro community Development Association (ACDA) is a grass root Community based voluntary Organization committed to see rural Children, Girls and young mothers who are marginalized, vulnerable, stigmatized and left with nowhere to go in Post conflict Northern Uganda to be empowered, developed and live to rediscover their potential.
The organization was founded in 2001 by the people hailing from Agoro Sub-county who were displaced by LRA conflict that affected very many people in Northern Uganda. The intention was for the people to join hands and help one another in search for the abducted or missing love ones and lobby for ways of transporting dead bodies from where they are found to their final resting place.
Agoro Community Development Association - ACDA is registered with Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URSB) under registration of company and business name act 1918 Cap. 109 with Registration number 130706 on the 17th Sept 2001. In 2006 ACDA registered as member of the NGO board operating in the greater Kitgum Districts with Registration number KINFO/124/06.
In 2018, the Organization got registered with Lamwo district local government department of community based service with registration number L/CD/86943. ACDA is also a registered charity company limited by guarantee with registration number 78188.
To provide and or increase access to both formal and informal education and vocational trainings to rural vulnerable groups (Children, Girls and child mothers) through bursaries for better impact on their welfare and development.

To expand access to affordable quality health care for under-served individuals and communities and promote awareness on affordable healthy living.

Agoro Community Development Organization is operational in The Sub-County of Agoro, Lamwo District, and Northern Uganda.
The organization intends to expand its services to the entire Sub-Counties of Lamwo District depending on the availability of funds.
